Top 5 Resolutions

2025 should be the best year of our life. It can be if we believe it will be. I know it’s easier said than done, but it is 100% possible if we live with intention.

Here are 5 lifestyle resolutions that have wine applications. You know this is a winery newsletter after all!

Number 5: Be Authentic.

The best version of yourself is your authentic self. Don’t try to be someone you are not. Your greatness already lies within, it does not come from outside of you for you to imitate.

When it comes to Wisconsin Wine, please know that all of the wines from Parallel 44 and Door 44 were grown in Wisconsin soils. While there are many Wisconsin wineries, you should know that most Wisconsin wineries produce wines from grapes not grown in Wisconsin. Just recently when we looked at the Wisconsin Wine Section in our local grocery store, we noted that less than 10% of the wines were actually made from grapes grown in Wisconsin!

Number 4: Spend Wisely.

In order to get the most for your hard-earned money, one should spend it wisely. If you enjoy wine on a weekly or even monthly basis, you can save a great deal of money by joining Club 44.

As a Club Member, you save 25% on quarterly wine releases, receive complimentary wine sampling, receive shipping discounts, in addition to volume discounts. This averages out to around $200 in savings every year. Not to mention an opportunity for some events where we can share wine over cheese and learn how to create a blend for a future wine release.

Number 3: Be Adventurous.

Joy is often the result of trying new things. When you taste wines from Parallel 44 and Door 44, you are experiencing wines from grapes that less than 5% of Wisconsin residents have ever experienced.

The next time instead of opening up that same old Chardonnay from California, pop a cork on a 2023 Ledge Blanc. Recently one of our growers was curious and did a blind tasting with a group of wine enthusiasts with our Ledge Blanc and a 2021 Sauvignon Blanc called Essence priced at $70 from winemaker Mike Grgich who is the famed winemaker who won the Judgment of Paris in 1976 that put America on the world wine map. The group of four were shocked when they unanimously chose the Ledge Blanc over the 93 point Sauvignon Blanc.

Number 2: Be Conscious:

Life is best lived when you don’t live in the past or future with never ending thoughts but instead with a deliberate attention to the present moment. It’s quality over quantity. Cultivate a mindful approach to every sip of life and of wine!

Number 1: Celebrate every day.

We live to enjoy and commemorate big moments and holidays in our lives. But celebrations should not be limited to the calendar. Every day is a day to gratefully appreciate all that life brings.

The iconic drink of New Years eve is sparkling wine. Ring in the new year with sparkling wine from Parallel 44 and Door 44. Both Sparkler and Bubbler are perfect for the occasion.

We will be toasting you this Tuesday night and we hope you do the same. If possible, please send photos of your toasting and bringing in the New Year with some Bubbler or Sparkler.

We get great joy seeing others enjoying life with our wines.

Cheers, All the Best in 2025!
