Are you Living the Dream?

This is a letter we wrote last year and wanted to share again for those of you who missed it. At a time when things around you feel uncertain, ask yourself, Are you Living the Dream?

The answer to that question will vary on a day-by-day basis. Few people are “living the dream” all the time. However, life is too short to not be conscious of one’s ability to find joy within ourselves in just about any situation. Some call it an attitude of gratitude. We recently saw a quote by Jackie Chan, a famous film star, stuntman, and director, that brings this mindset into focus.

“Your hard work is the dream of every unemployed person;
Your naughty child is the dream of every childless person;
Your little home is the dream of every homeless person;
Your small capital is the dream of every debtor;
Your poor health is the dream of every patient with an incurable disease; …
Your peace of mind, your peaceful sleep, your affordable food, is the dream of everyone who has a war in their country.
You have to appreciate everything you have.
No one knows what will happen tomorrow.”

These thoughts are great to contemplate over a glass of wine, because maybe you are “Living the Dream.”

Although we have had many days of exhaustion and frustration as owners of wineries, we will be taking time this weekend to be grateful and appreciative of your support over the years, especially as we love forward to seeing many of you this weekend for our Spring Wine Club Release.

We thank you and look forward to your continued support of growing and producing world class wines from this unexpected corner of the wine world!
